My sister and friend flew down from Brisbane to spend the weekend in Melbourne when I was living there. We are lucky to have such wonderful zoos in Australia that work so hard to help these beautiful animals survive.Janettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14200939679562558409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-324481537912548682.post-90990411224361136072018-10-10T06:58:08.238+10:302018-10-10T06:58:08.238+10:30I didn't know Victoria has an open range zoo, ...I didn't know Victoria has an open range zoo, I thought Monarto and Dubbo were the only two in Australia. I can't imagine it would have been a very comfortable ride for you especially not with 10 other people.Janettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14200939679562558409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-324481537912548682.post-14377638432807690502018-10-10T06:53:42.811+10:302018-10-10T06:53:42.811+10:30They're not my favourite, the elephant is my f...They're not my favourite, the elephant is my favourite animal. I also like the way meerkats work together, everyone knows what they need to do and just get on with, no squabbling, no complaining. If humans could learn to cooperate as well as meerkats do the world be a better place.Janettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14200939679562558409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-324481537912548682.post-91633629225304678332018-10-10T06:13:36.479+10:302018-10-10T06:13:36.479+10:30Such beautiful animals, Jan. While the animals were amazing, and this particular zoo plays an important role in conservation/breeding, I left with such a sadness for creatures like the gorillas and orangutans who are struggling so much to survive in the wild. They also happen to be one of my favourite animals too. I really like their hierarchy and how they work together to survive, sometimes against incredible odds.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05729768109439634112noreply@blogger.com
