An Afghan For Harper

It took me three weeks to make and it used approximately 2, 375 metres of yarn and I am extremely happy with the end result.

She is a still too young to appreciate the time, the effort  and the love that went into making it.

My hope is that one day she will use it for her daughter.

And that with the right care it will one day be used to keep her own granddaughter warm.

The pattern used is White Chocolate Strawberry Double Shell Ripple by Roseanna Beck and can be found here.

  1. We have two crotcheted blankets that my husband's Grandma made. One pink and one blue. Both a warm and beautiful and treasured. I love the colours in your afghan, Jan and I'm sure your granddaughter will come to treasure it too. Meg

    1. Thanks Meg, I wish I had had grandmothers who crocheted it would have been nice to wrap my babies up in something they had made.

  2. Wow........that's a huge amount of crocheting in such a short time...I finally got my crochet blanket out last night to keep working on it and I've (my daughter) has misplaced the correct crochet hook so just sorted out the skeins of wool into balls instead. Your blanket looks beautiful.

    1. Thanks Kathy, I really pushed myself to get it done as I wanted Harper to be able to use it this winter. Good luck finding your crochet hook. Mine always turn up as soon as I buy a new one.
